A busy route through Wales has reopened this morning following a crash on Friday evening.

The A494 between Bala and Corwen was closed on Sept 4 evening at around 8pm following a collision.

North Wales Police's Gwynedd South team shared a post on Facebook confirming the crash had happened between the junction of the B4402 and Cefn Ddwysarn.

They said there were "considerable delays" while emergency teams were at the scene and asked people to avoid the area.

The post said: "Due to a road traffic collision on the A494 between the junction B4402 and Cefn Ddwysarn there are considerable delays while emergency teams deal with the scene.

"Please use another route if at all possible."

The road has reopened this morning.
