RESIDENTS and visitors to Wrexham have been encouraged to visit a new community market starting this weekend.
Saturday on the Square will be held for the first time at Queen's Square in the centre of Wrexham tomorrow (Saturday, September 5) between 10am and 4pm.
Organisers Andrea Kitney and her daughter Rue Kitney, of Wrexham, have encouraged members of the public to turn out and have a look at what the market has to offer.
Rue has run her own business - Storm_alicious Scrunchies, which sells hair scrunchies, bows and other products - for four years.
Saturday's event will feature a total of 28 stalls including Hill Farm Penley, El Churro, Scard by Baking, Owlsome Cakes, Wrexham Raw Dog Food, VA Crafts, Happy Togs, Kat's Forever Roses, Storm_alicious Scrunchies, Mrs Sippy Cocktails, Heidi Lou Jewellery and more.
Andrea said: "It's quite an unusual mix and we're hoping people come into Wrexham and find things they didn't know were there.
"It's been in the pipeline since May and we're very excited - everything is ready to go, so come and have a look!
"See what we have on offer, bring the family for a day out and have a nice little treat."

So far, Saturday on the Square has two more dates booked at Queen's Square; October 10 and November 7.
Andrea said she and Rue are working to the motto: "No business is too small, no dream is too big" - meaning they want to support new traders to be able to sell their creations.
"If anyone wants to make their own things and sell them, we'd love to help them.
"The market is a great place to start it and the traders are all lovely; the all love to help each other."
