This property is being sold with the option of furniture and equipment, allowing a buyer to continue the existing operations.

The owner, Russ Williams, said the building dates from the 19th century and has had several uses over time.

Mr Williams said: “The property was built in the 19th century & started off as property where drovers would stay on their way to take cattle to markets in England from North Wales."

The owner said it had also been used as a bank, sewing machine factory, restaurant and milk bar.

The current owner moved to Caerwys in 2002 after previously living at Gelli Fowler Farm, Brynford.

The property was initially arranged with the gym on the ground floor, the owner’s parents on the first floor and the owner living on the second floor.

After the owner’s father died, the owner’s mother moved out and rooms began to be prepared for Airbnb use.

The owner said groups of up to 25 people had stayed at the property from across the UK and overseas.

Mr Williams said: “The ground floor gym is very busy, with sometimes up to 50 students training per night."

The owner plans to move to another nearby property if a suitable building can be found.
