A BURGLAR who targeted numerous homes in one night has been warned to expect an immediate custodial sentence.
Patrick Hadley, of Bodlyn in Plas Madoc, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday morning.
The 26-year-old admitted burgling three homes and attempting to burgle two more - all in Pendine Way, Gwersyllt - on August 1 this year.
He further admitted taking an Audi A1 without authority on that date, as well as driving whilst banned and damaging another vehicle, namely a Peugeot 207.
Judge Simon Mills announced that due to the number of other cases to be dealt with on Friday, he could not sentence the defendant immediately, but confirmed Hadley's record made him a 'three-strike burglar' and that custody was "inevitable."
He told Hadley: "You pleaded guilty at an early stage and that will be taken into account.
"I have been told you're subject to the mandatory minimum term provision, which does have an effect on the amount of credit you can be given - but its important to plead guilty.

"It shows a willingness to admit what you've done.
"I will sentence you on Thursday of next week (September 10). It is obviously going to be custody, you understand that."
The defendant told Judge Mills before leaving the prison video link room: "Thank you, Your Honour."
