Andy Sammons was crowned Wrexham's Strongest Man on Saturday, taking the title in front of a packed crowd at Ty Pawb in the city centre.
The free-to-attend event, held on August 29, saw spectators fill the venue to cheer on the competitors as they battled through a number of gruelling strength trials.
Sammons finished top of the leaderboard to claim the crown, with defending champion Mariusz Arendavz taking second place.
Arendavz had gone into the competition as the reigning title holder, having triumphed at last year's event, but was pushed into the runner-up spot this time round.
Matty Williams rounded off the podium in third, capping an afternoon of powerful performances from strongmen competing across a demanding five-event format.
Ty Pawb, the city centre arts, market and events venue on Market Street, once again played host to the popular strongman spectacle, continuing a tradition that has become a fixture on Wrexham's summer events calendar.
The competition drew large numbers of local residents keen to watch feats of strength up close.
Saturday's event followed last year's edition, which was won by Marius Dacz ahead of Joe Bromley and Jon Crossland, underlining how competitive the annual contest has become as strongmen return year after year to test themselves against the best in the region.
Organisers promoted this year's competition heavily on social media in the weeks beforehand, encouraging the public to come along and support the athletes.
