WREXHAM AFC star Kieffer Moore has shown his support for a campaign to save a North Wales village pub.
The Penbont Inn, in Llanrug, Gwynedd, closed suddenly last December - amid challenging economic conditions and rising operating costs.
The pub is described as the heart of the village - where Kieffer Moore's grandfather lived.
The Menter Gymunedol Penbont group has been set up in a bid to save the pub. It is hoping to reopen it as a community-owned pub and café.
The group is looking to raise between £200,000 and £500,000 to make the dream a reality.
It is currently selling community shares - and Kieffer Moore is urging people to buy a share to help bring the pub back.
He said: "As someone with a connection to Llanrug, I know how important the Penbont is to the community.
"The Penbont needs your support, a community share offer is launching - giving you the chance to be part of bringing it back.

The project has so far raised over £50,000. The share offer is running until September 27.
