It might still be August, but as the weather starts to turn, plans are being confirmed for some of the most popular firework displays across the region.

In recent days, details have been released by Chirk AAA for their award-winning display.

The display, which is held at the Chirk AA on Holyhead Road, will take place on Thursday, November 5, with gates opening at 6pm.

Spectators won't have to wait long for the action, as the organisers will light the bonfire at 7pm.

The huge firework display will then take place from 7.30pm.

Entry to the event will be cash only and priced at £5 per person, but children under the age of five can attend for free.

Food and drink will be on offer throughout the event, and people can also buy sparklers from organisers on the bowling green.

However, anyone who buys a sparkler must light it in that area only.

Limited car parking will be available on the night, but alternative parking is available at private and public car parks throughout the village.
