Clwyd Crime Fest
Back for a second year, Clwyd Crime Fest sees crime authors visit the region over two great days of events. Leading the charge on Wednesday, September 16 at Mold Library, 2pm will be Simon McCleave in a panel event with Claire Quinn. This event will be followed later that day by bestselling author Tom Hindle, again at Mold Library at 7pm. Caroline Corcoran and Katy Brent will be entertaining us at Wrexham Library on Thursday, September 17, 2pm followed by bestselling author Alex Hay later that day at 7pm again at Wrexham Library. Drop-in session for dementia care practitioners
Wrexham Library is holding a special drop-in session for dementia care practitioners on Wednesday, September 9, from 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm. This informal drop-in is aimed at health, social care and community professionals or anyone who has a vested interest. Explore the library's large collection of specialist dementia-friendly resources and speak to knowledgeable staff. There will be free tea and coffee. Wrexham Library is hosting a free drop-in workshop session on Thursday, September 3, between 1pm-7pm. Come and talk to us about old place names of Wrexham and the surrounding areas. Do you know old local place names that don't appear on OS maps - old buildings, fields, lanes or footpaths? Place Names Officer Dr James January-McCann will be at Wrexham Library for this drop-in session on historic place names in Wales, and the Royal Commission's ongoing efforts to protect them for future generations.
