MUSIC fans are set to raise the roof in Wrexham next month with a rock and metal festival.
In September, XS Wrexham and RainbowBiz CIC are gearing up to present fans with two days of original unsigned UK heavy rock and metal bands around.
RainbowBiz CIC promotional team North East Wales Metal Productions, who run Metal 2 the Masses North Wales for Bloodstock Festival and 10-year-old festival Pentre Fest, have handpicked some of the best talent around for N.E.W. Metal Fest.
Ward XVI are the Saturday headliner, with their unique and innovative theatrical ensemble known for its immersive performances that blend dark storytelling with captivating visuals.
Originating from Preston in the North West of England, the group explores the sordid past of a female serial killer through a distinctive mix of drama, music, and puppetry.

Their notable productions often invite audiences to engage directly with the narrative, creating a haunting yet thought-provoking experience. With a commitment to pushing creative boundaries, Ward XVI has garnered critical acclaim and a dedicated following, establishing itself as a standout in the rock and metal scene. Famous for appearances on Bloodstock Festival's Sophie Lancaster Stage, Hammerfest, Breaking Bands, SOS, Whitby Goth Fest and many more.
Also making waves in the underground scene are Dystopian Sun ,who take Friday's headline slot.
Original from Wales, but now hailing from Manchester, Dystopian Sun won Metal 2 the Masses North Wales in 2023. A rising five-piece deathcore band originally, that earned praise for their heavy riffs, melodic choruses, and energetic live performances after winning the Bloodstock Festival Metal 2 the Masses competition and playing a host festivals around the UK.
Joining Ward XVI on Saturday is Bloodyard, old school death metal. War Shepherd, melodic death metal from Plymouth and also Wrexham's own 2026 Metal 2 The Masses North Wales winners, Groom The Giant.
