A PUB in a Flintshire village will be closing its doors for good.
The Gronant Inn, on Llanasa Road, Gronant, confirmed the news on Wednesday morning (June 3).
Its closure, the pub said, was due to “structural problems” at the premises, with this coming weekend to be its final days of business.
A statement from The Gronant Inn read: “Due to a dilapidation report coming back with structural problems, the pub will be shutting.
“So, this weekend, will be the last weekend The Gronant Inn will ever be open for business.
“(We) want to thank all the customers, staff and the support we’ve had for the last seven years, so let’s drink the pub dry this weekend.”
Patrons were quick to comment saying they will be sad to see them pub close.
Tracy Nicholson said: "So sorry to hear this, it a big loss for the villagers, had some great times and memories in the Gronant Inn. it will be missed."
Steve Massey said: "Such a massive shame. Had my 1st legal pint in there nearly 35years ago.
"For most locals the Inn was much more than just a pub.

Neville Patridge said: "The closure is a massive loss to the village and it's inhabitants.
"Gavin and the family have worked hard at the pub for the last 7 years, just a shame that can't continue."
He added: "Thanks for all the great memories and laughs. All the best for the future."
While Tisha Jones added: "Great times, memories and great people."
