A busy Wrexham road leading to the A483 is set for a period of lane closures later this month.

The A5156 Llan-y-Pwll Link Road will have lane closures, starting from the A534 roundabout towards the A483 J6 Gresford Interchange.

These closures, which will take place from Monday, April 13 to Sunday, April 26, are expected to last two weeks.

The purpose of the closures is to allow for the excavation of trial holes in the verge in preparation for a major water mains replacement scheme.

Severn Trent Water will be responsible for the work.

Wrexham Council has confirmed the details of the planned works.

Drivers are warned to expect delays during the two-week period.
