A newborn who arrived on Christmas Day is being celebrated in Wrexham.

Rory Dennis Wilkins was born at 2.22am on December 25 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, weighing 6lb 3oz.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) congratulated Rory’s parents, Lianne and Richard Wilkins from Acrefair, on his arrival.

The health board shared the news on social media.

A spokesperson said: "Congratulations to all the new parents and thank you to all the teams who are caring for the new mums and their babies on our maternity wards over the festive period." 

Members of the public have been responding to the post with well-wishes for the new family.
