A MAJOR employer is preparing to launch the careers of 245 new trainees.
Airbus’ Broughton plant will welcome 152 apprentices, 23 graduates, and 70 interns as part of its latest early careers intake.
Gareth Davies, Airbus Head of Broughton Plant and Site, said: "Investing in young talent is about more than today’s workforce.
"It is about safeguarding the long-term future of Airbus and the wider UK aerospace sector.
"By nurturing our early careers cohorts, we are protecting the talent pipeline of manufacturing excellence and innovation that will keep our industry strong for decades to come.
"Having started my career as an apprentice I know how transformative these opportunities can be.
"Their fresh perspectives are vital to securing a sustainable and competitive future for us all."
The new recruits will work alongside experienced professionals, building skills and knowledge across multiple areas of the business.
Airbus offers a variety of pathways into the aerospace industry, including roles in aircraft wing assembly and manufacturing process development, as well as digital and operational support.
Applications for the 2026 graduate and internship schemes are now open, with the apprentice application window opening on October 6.
