A MUCH-loved bar and cafe has been left no choice but to close following a cruel incident over the weekend.
The Red Dragon at Holyhead Road in Chirk, Wrexham, has remained closed today (Monday, June 30) due to 'theft and vandalism.'
Owners discovered a devastating mess left at the property and reported the incident to North Wales Police.
A spokesperson said: "We have had to close for now because all the stock has been stolen and scattered all over outside, most of the containers have been broken, and the brand new card machine has been smashed. That's on top of the mess they've caused."
A police spokesperson said: "Overnight Saturday into Sunday, youths have broken into businesses in Chirk, causing damage and further offences.
"We are completing further enquiries in relation to these offences.
