ONE OF Wrexham AFC's owners has paid tribute to one of the stars of the club who is departing the club for a loan spell.
Paul Mullin has become something of a legend since joining the Reds from Cambridge United in 2021.
He has since scored 110 goals for the club, confirming his status as a Wrexham great.
His finest season came when he netted 38 league goals in the 2022/23 season to end Wrexham's 15-year wait for a return to the English Football League as they went up as National League champions that season.
But, last season saw the star striker fall down the pecking order at the club in EFL League One, and with promotion once again secured to the second tier, he has now opted for a loan move away from the club.
Mullin will spend the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Wigan Athletic, who play in EFL League One.
Upon his departure, Wrexham AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds has paid tribute to Mullin.

He said; "I can't imagine seeing Mulls on loan and in another kit. We wouldn't be where we are without his heart, skill and work ethic. We love you, Paul Mullin."
Mullin himself took to X (formerly Twitter), to write a message to Wrexham AFC and its fans.
He said: "All the best this season! Keep the train rolling."
Addressing the new challenge at Wigan Athletic, he added: "Looking forward to getting started! See you all soon."
