THE westbound carriageway of Conwy Tunnel remains closed this morning following a major incident on June 19.
Police say a contraflow system will remain in place for the time being along the A55 eastbound carriageway.
Motorists are being advised to allow extra time for their journey as delays are expected in the area.

The incident took place at approximately 1.48pm yesterday when a vehicle fire was reported by officials.
Due to the scale of the incident and the need for safety assessments, the tunnel was closed to motorists in both directions for a 'significant amount of time'.
Thick smoke was reported in the area, as drivers were warned to stay inside their vehicles.

North Wales Fire and Rescue has said in its latest update: "We anticipate that there will be significant disruption for the next few days, and motorists are being advised to allow additional time for their journeys and to keep up to date with the latest traffic and travel information."
A spokesperson also confirmed there had been no fatalities.
Motorists are being advised to check Traffic Wales North and Mid website and social media channels for the latest travel information.
