TOOLS and other valuable items are being stolen from sheds as police confirm a rise in theft across Flintshire.

As well as increased reports of shed break-ins, officers are receiving comments about off-road bikes and e-scooters.

A spokesperson said: "We’re seeing a rise in shed break-ins across the district, with tools and other valuables being stolen.

"Please ensure your shed is securely locked, and wherever possible, keep high value items out of sight or stored in a more secure location.

"We’ve also received comments about off-road bikes and e-scooters. We completely understand the concern they cause, they’re not just a nuisance, but also a safety risk to the public.

"We want to reassure you that we are doing what we can. We have an operation running with support from specialist teams, and over 30 vehicles have been seized in recent weeks.

"Of course, our teams are also tackling a wide range of other priorities, including retail theft, domestic abuse, and burglary.

"We can’t be everywhere at once, but please know we’re working hard to address the issues that matter most to our communities."
