TWO people have been arrested following a crash involving a pedestrian and motorcycle in Wrexham.
The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Tuesday (April 8) on Ruabon Road, Johnstown.
Police say the pedestrian, a woman in her early 30’s, sustained serious injuries.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: "North Wales police received reports of a road traffic collision on Ruabon Road, Johnstown, Wrexham, whereby a pedestrian crossing the road was struck by a white Yamaha 125cc scooter.
"The rider of the scooter and a pillion passenger fled the scene on foot following the collision.

"The pedestrian, a woman in her early 30’s, received serious injuries as a result of this collision.
"Two people have been arrested in relation to this collision and the scooter involved has been recovered by police."
Sergeant Daniel Rees from the Roads Crime Unit, added: “I would like to thank all the members of the public who have assisted this investigation so far. I am appealing for witnesses to the collision, who have not provided their details to police, to come forward and also to anyone who may have seen or have CCTV or dashcam footage of a white Yamaha scooter, with a rider and pillion on board, travelling in the area around the time of the collision."
