A DEESIDE-based business owner, who first launched her hairdressing and beauty salon in 1999, has opened a new, larger premises thanks to a local government grant.
Sara King, who owns Kings (formerly Oasis Hair & Beauty), has moved into new 1,894sqft premises following a period of rapid growth for the business.
In 2019, Sara also launched The Kings Academy, which offers alternative school provisions for students across North Wales and has gone from strength to strength helping more than 100 young people find a career path.

The academy, which works alongside several high schools in the local area, will also move into the new premises with a dedicated space for training in both hair and beauty, with the build currently underway.
Funded through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund (SPF), a contribution from Flintshire County Council’s Property Improvement Grant scheme has helped to fund the renovation of the premises with an additional 968sqft of space, which will include a classroom and practical space for training.
Employing 17 local people, the salon, based on Station Road in Queensferry, features 15 styling stations, a brow and lash bar, beauty and makeup artistry and three treatment rooms for massages, facials and a new Japanese Head Spa treatment.

Sara,from Rhuddlan, said: "After 22 years in business, this move has been one of the most exciting moments for us. Doubling the size of our original premises which was just over the road from our new space, we've been thrilled to see our customer's reactions to the fully refurbished salon, and we now can't get wait to get the our academy space open too.
"We simply couldn't be doing this without the support from the Flintshire Town Centre Investment Programme, which has ensured we're able to continue with our training academy, providing crucial education alternatives for young people in the area."
