A WEIGHT LOSS loss expert from Flintshire is running the London Marathon in memory of her baby daughter.

Lynsey Blackshaw, who runs the Slimming World groups in Buckley and Connah's Quay, has been helping slimmers to reach their dream weight for the last seven years.

She is running the marathon this weekend in aid of the Lullaby Trust - a charity very close to her heart. The 33-year-old very sadly lost her baby, Daisy, in August last year.

She said: "Before losing seven stone with Slimming World I never did any physical activity, let alone running a marathon. My life used to be very sedentary, but now I run 5K at least three times a week.

“I am so grateful for Slimming World for giving me my life back. I lost seven stone with the help and support of my consultant and group. They helped me to make changes to the way I shop, cook and eat and also to incorporate activity to help me maintain a new fit and healthy lifestyle for good.

Lynsey added: "I absolutely love my job as a Slimming World Consultant. I’m passionate about helping people to transform their lives by losing weight and seeing them succeed is reward enough but inspiring them to get moving themselves through our body magic programme is fantastic."
