WREXHAM AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds sent a heartfelt message to a supporter who thanked him for what he has done for the club.

The impact he and partner Rob McElhenney have had on Wrexham is huge, with the club yesterday securing back-to-back promotion, and a future in the third tier of English football.

Off the pitch, they have donated to local causes on several occasions, aware that their custodianship of the club is about more than just the sporting side.

So when Wrexham thrashed Forest Green Rovers 6-0, fans praised the owners for their impact on the city.

One fan, Neil Evans, tweeted the owners and executive director Humphrey Ker that the town would "forever be in your debt", adding: "Literally back to where we were robbed of!

"The town are forever in your debt but you will always be our true hero for picking us!

"Absolutely gutted my dad can’t be here to witness this after the miles we put in over the years."

Reynolds replied in classy fashion, saying: "Neil, your dad knew many years ago what Rob and I - and the rest of the world - are only recently discovering.

"Wrexham is indeed magic. We are in HIS debt and many thousands of supporters like him."
