WREXHAM'S co-owner Rob McElhenney is set to produce a docu-series on the first doping-friendly sports championship.

Rob's More Better Productions will work alongside Ridley Scott Associates to produce a documentary on the 'Enhanced Games'.

The Enhanced Games, founded by Aron D’Souza and Christian Angermayer, is described as the world’s first sporting event that allows “enhancements” – including doping.

The event was announced in June last year and a small scale exhibition is set to take place in December 2024, with plans for the full event to come in 2025.

It is likely to include a number of track and field, swimming and, weightlifiting events to name a few.

The games will not follow the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency, meaning that athletes will be able to take performance-enhancing drugs.

The founders hope that it will eventually become a competitor to the Olympics.

More Better and Ridley Scott, which produced Robbie Williams' docuseries on Netflix, have signed exclusive rights with the games.

After announcing the deal, Enhanced Games are now on the look out for 10 athletes to star in the documentary and compete at the games.

The documentary aims to follow the story of those partaking in the inaugural event, to showcase the behind the scenes of athletes and organisers of the Enhanced Games.

Rob told Variety: “More Better is honoured to partner with RSA to help tell the extraordinary story behind the Enhanced Games.

"From the moment we discovered this competition was in the works, we knew this deserved a deep exploration through a thoughtful docuseries lens.”
