MOTORISTS were warned of an "urgent" closure of a stretch of main road in Wrexham.
Wrexham Council warned that the A525 is closed at Chequer Bends, near Redbrook Maelor, on Wednesday morninh.
Traffic was being diverted via A495, Ellesmere Lane and A539.
A Wrexham Council spokesperson said: "The closure is to facilitate a HGV recovery. We can’t confirm timescales currently."
At 2.45pm, Wrexham Council confirmed that the HGV had been recovered and the road had reopened.
