A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue centre is appealing to the public to find three beautiful dogs their forever home.

Almost Home Dog Rescue, based in Mold, provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs before uniting them with their new home and owner.

It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent an increase in the number of pets being carelessly neglected.

Anyone interested in the following pups should fill out the adoption form here.

Meet Winnie

After being adopted from Almost Home rescue 10 months ago, Winnie has sadly found herself back in their care.

She is 2/3 years old, a French bulldog cross who has had an awful life leaving huge mental scarring.

Thankfully, she is doing really well and has been brought a long way. She is great with people, loves her toys and is generally a very well behaved girl.

Medically, Winne is in amazing condition, spayed, flead, wormed, micro-chipped and vaccinated.

Walking is her biggest trauma. Some days she is fine and others she freezes and wants to come home.

Almost Home say Winnie needs a home with someone who can be flexible with her. Perhaps someone with a garden who can let her explore on her own with no pressure of going for daily walks.

Most of all, Winnie is in need of love, empathy and attention. Almost Home know her forever home and person is out there somewhere.

More details of her past will be given at a later stage of the adoption process.

Meet Bertie

Bertie is looking for a greyhound lover with room for a skinny one on the sofa.

This boy is lovely despite not seeing much of life yet. He's easy to mould and in desperate need of a home of his own.

Bertie is always looking for food due to not knowing when his next meal will be - a fixable flaw, but one to be aware with if you have young children who leave food around the house. He also loves to jump up and greet you but can't hurt because he is 85% legs.

Bertie is perfectly house trained and hasn't had a single accident since arriving at Almost Home.

He is great with other dogs on walks but stays on a lead in case he decides to run off and find other fury friends to play with.

Bertie really wants some affection but is unsure how to ask for it. He hasn't seen many kind hands so far in his life, but will put two paws on the sofa for a chest rub and will never shy away from being petted or physical touch.

He will definitely need an active household having lots of energy and plenty of zoomies.

He also greets everyone with a happy dance in the morning after sleeping downstairs by himself with no issues.

Bertie is fully vaccinated, flead, wormed, micro-chipped and neutered. He is very happy to be handled and is always a good boy at the vets.

Bertie just needs the next chapter of his life to begin with someone he can learn to trust and obey.

Meet Carla

A beautiful French bulldog who is four-years-old. Like the others, Carla hasn't had a great start to life and really deserves a break.

She has been nothing but a sweetheart since arriving at Almost Home. Carla is spotless around the house, eats well, travels well and adores playing with toys.

Sadly, she has had many ear infections which haven't been treated and now she has a lot of scar tissue in the area. Currently on ear drops, Carla is slowly getting better and has otherwise passed her health check.

MOST READ

She enjoys a walk and is a good girl when out and about. Carla is scared of other dogs due to people trying to breed her in the past.

Carla is in need of some reassurance and could possibly live with older, dog-savvy children too.

Almost Home is looking for a calm, safe and friendly home for this amazing girl with someone to help her know she is safe and the world is a good place.
