WREXHAM AFC will look to keep their promotion push going when they host Tranmere Rovers in a Sky Bet League Two cross-border derby this afternoon (March 16).

They will have the chance to do the double over Tranmere, having won 1-0 at Prenton Park in September’s reverse fixture.

Ahead of today’s 3pm kick-off at the STōK Cae Ras, here’s everything you need to know for the visit of Nigel Adkins’ side in front of a sell-out crowd:

Parking

Due to an event at Wrexham University, parking is likely to be extremely limited at its car park (£5 per car).

There is no provision for parking on a matchday at Wrexham General railway station. A list of alternative car parks can be found on Wrexham Council’s website.

Mold Road and Crispin Lane will be closed 15 minutes before the end of the match and restrictions will last for an hour.

Crispin Lane will also be shut from 2pm.

Tickets and entry

The match is all-ticket, and there will be no cash turnstiles in operation at the game.

Gates will open 90 minutes before kick-off, with fans ask to arrive at the stadium in good time to reduce queuing times and ensure any enquiries can be dealt with promptly.

Fans should have their tickets or eTickets ready before approaching the turnstiles and, in order to help reduce queuing times, are asked to only bring a bag if necessary.

If you selected “collection” for your tickets, you can pick them up from the club’s ticket office, located on the Wrexham Lager Stand side.

The ticket office will not be available for any other enquiries unrelated to the match, from 90 minutes prior to kick-off.

Away fans

Tranmere fans will enter the ground through the Wrexham Lager Stand nearest to the STōK Cold Coffee Brew Stand, via turnstiles 1-4.

Travelling supporters will be searched on arrival, and should note that there are no alcohol sales in the away end.

Fourth Wall Temporary Kop Stand

Fans in the Fourth Wall Temporary Kop Stand are reminded that all tickets are issued for specified seats, and are asked to stick to their allocated seat only.

Persistent standing is not permitted and will be dealt with by stewards.

A kiosk serving hot and cold drinks and food is available behind the stand, with card payments encouraged whenever possible.

Toilet blocks are also located behind the stand.

Bags

Only A4 sized bags will be permitted and will be searched and tagged by security.

All supporters will be searched upon entry into the stadium, with food and drink (including flasks) not permitted to be brought inside.

Pushchairs are also prohibited at the ground, and there is no provision for the storage of these items at the stadium.

Supporter conduct

Fans who encroach on the pitch risk facing a football banning order and a criminal conviction, while the club itself could also face a fine.

Anybody also found to engage in “tragedy abuse” could also face ejection, banning orders and criminal convictions.

No flags or musical instruments will be permitted into the stadium unless they have been authorised by the club’s safety officer.

Should fans wish to bring flags or musical instruments to the ground, they must contact info@wrexhamafc.co.uk at least 14 days prior to matchday.

READ MORE:

Fans should not travel with the aforementioned items if they have not been authorised prior to matchday.

The use of illegal substances and pyrotechnics, and the throwing of missiles, is prohibited and can also lead to banning orders.

Any trouble can be reported to your nearest steward or, confidentially, by contacting the club’s control room on 07852 510 775.
