POLICE are investigating a high value theft of GPS equipment from a farm in Wrexham.
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team said it received a report that sometime overnight between midnight on Tuesday (March 12) and 3.30am on Wednesday (March 13), five tractors were broken into on a farm in the Sontley area, near Erddig.
It is reported a number of high-tech global positioning systems (GPS) on each of the tractors were stolen.

PC Chris James of the Rural Crime Team said: “This equipment can be costly and forms an essential part of the farmer’s work, which has resulted in his day-to-day operations being hugely disrupted.
“We believe the person responsible for taking this equipment knew what they were looking for, so I am urging farmers remove similar equipment whenever possible and keep machines out of sight when not in use.
“I am appealing to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area between the times mentioned above, or anyone with information that could assist with our investigation is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.”
