A TOURING Wrexham fan from the United States has been praised for his "amazing" donation to the foodbank.

The fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, took a stack-full of items to Wrexham Foodbank after shopping at a wholesaler.

David Hughes, a taxi driver, explained: "I spent a few hours with one of our American friends. He didn't want his picture shown, which says a lot about the man's character. Truly selfless person and a real inspiration.

The Leader:

"He booked us at Wrexham Executive Travel & Minibus to take him to Bookers in Wrexham and donated a substantial amount of food and other products to the Wrexham Foodbank.

"An amazing charity, doing phenomenal work in the local area and I was in total amazement of not only the work involved, but how a guy from the other side of the pond could do so much, for people he may never get to meet."
