A TOURING Wrexham fan from the United States has been praised for his "amazing" donation to the foodbank.
The fan, who wishes to remain anonymous, took a stack-full of items to Wrexham Foodbank after shopping at a wholesaler.
David Hughes, a taxi driver, explained: "I spent a few hours with one of our American friends. He didn't want his picture shown, which says a lot about the man's character. Truly selfless person and a real inspiration.
"He booked us at Wrexham Executive Travel & Minibus to take him to Bookers in Wrexham and donated a substantial amount of food and other products to the Wrexham Foodbank.
"An amazing charity, doing phenomenal work in the local area and I was in total amazement of not only the work involved, but how a guy from the other side of the pond could do so much, for people he may never get to meet."

One person said: "That’s such a generous thing to do. It is such a lifeline for some people." Another added: "Not all heroes wear capes - fair play that's a lovely gesture."
A further commentor said: "What an amazing thing to do. Some people are just wonderful humans. He’s obviously one of them."
Between November and January, Wrexham Foodbank provided food parcels for 1,804 adults and for 1,082 children. It also provided over £1,000 worth of blankets, socks, hats and gloves.
