THE MET Office is predicting a mixed week of weather across Wrexham and Flintshire. 

The weather experts say they expect an "unsettled" week across both counties with periods of brighter spells mixing with heavy rain showers. 

It is set to be a fairly cloudy week with temperatures rising as high as 14C, which the Met Office say is "above average" for this time of the year. 

The coldest temperatures look set to be overnight, with lows of 4C tonight (March 11).

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Today: The odd fog patch possible in the morning otherwise largely dry though staying fairly cloudy. Lighter winds than of late and temperatures around average for the time of year. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

"Tonight: A dry and bright end to the afternoon, particularly across the west. Later in the night cloud and outbreaks of rain will reach the far west and spread east. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

"Tuesday: A cloudy start for all with outbreaks of rain already across much of Wales continuing to move east. Drier and brighter conditions follow from the west later. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

"Outlook for Wednesday to Friday: Remaining unsettled and often cloudy with bands of rain, heavy at times pushing in from the west over the next few days. Temperatures above average for the time of year."
