Two people are to be sentenced after admitting charges of fraud and acquiring criminal property.

Appearing at Mold Crown Court to enter pleas on Friday were John and Jamie Price, both of Park Hall in Oswestry.

John Price, 36, admitted four counts of fraud by dishonesty failing to disclose information, whilst 27-year-old Jamie Price admitted one offence of acquiring criminal property - namely bank transfers amounting to £32,500.

All of the offences took place in November and December 2022 in Wrexham.

The court heard John Price has 14 previous convictions for 18 offences - including a number of thefts, motoring offences and burglaries.

Whereas Jamie Price had two previous convictions for seven offences, including motoring matters and resisting police.

Judge Parry told the pair: "You're going to be given significant credit for pleading guilty.

"Mr [John] Price - you're in trouble.

"You're looking at a custodial sentence because of your record and the gravity of this.

The Leader:

"But it's a long time since you've been in prison and I want a [pre-sentence] report.

"Jamie Price, your involvement here was serious - all sentencing options remain open for you as well."

Both defendants will be back in court on April 5 to be sentenced.
