A HUGE STAR of the screen will be one of the main attractions at next month's Wales Comic Con event in Wrexham.

The hugely-popular gathering is held annually at Wrexham University.

Formed in 2009, down the years it has proven to be one of Wrexham's most popular events on the calendar.

And this year, the event on April 6 and 7 will be no different as guests cosplay their way to another memorable day and get the chance to meet some of their heroes.

Among the biggest names set to appear in Wrexham is Christopher Lambert.

The French actor, 66, first became well-known after portraying Tarzan in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes (1984).

For his performance in the film Subway (1985), he received the César Award for Best Actor.

His most famous role though was as Connor MacLeod in the adventure-fantasy film Highlander (1986) and the subsequent franchise of the same name.

Lambert will be appearing at Wales Comic Con on the first day of the event on Saturday (April 6).
