A BRAND new business app has launched in Wrexham to enable businesses to promote themselves.

VZTA Wrexham (Virtual Zone Town App) is a new app that gives Wrexham businesses the chance to promote themselves and reach a larger audience.

VZTA CEO and founder, Victoria Mann, confirmed Wrexham Council has pre-paid for businesses to use the app, which can be downloaded on the App Store or Google Play.

Once you’ve downloaded VZTA and selected ‘Wrexham’ you’ll find categories such as food and drink and shopping, where local businesses have included information about what they sell, offers they have on and where you can find them.

There are also ideas on things to do in the city centre and to explore areas further afield in the county borough.

Businesses are encouraged to update their content daily, just like their shop window.

One business who has joined is 'Curry on-the-go Wrexham' based in Ty Pawb.

This family-run business is committed to bringing joy to every bite and warmth to every gathering, where each cup and dish narrates a tale of passion, flavour, and community.

Other businesses that have joined include Wrexham Visitor Information Centre, Henry's Barbershop and Heaven Coffee Shop.

Toast Cafe and Deli owner Claire Wright said: "It's early days but it looks really good and it's completely free to use!

"I've still got to add our information but it'll be good to be up and running soon."

Owners of Heaven's Coffee Shop Adam and Malgorzata Bury said: "It's a great app to promote local businesses in Wrexham."

Nigel Williams, lead member for economy and regeneration at Wrexham Council said: “I am delighted to see the launch of this new app on our journey to make Wrexham a smart city, embracing the latest innovations and technology.
