A WREXHAM village BBQ-inspired takeaway business is relocating to a former butchers shop - and the opening date has now been confirmed.

Jack Yard BBQ had been operating from a food van situated in the Sun Inn carpark, in Rhos, Wrexham.

But after announcing the business will be taking over the former Stanley Jones Butchers Hut on Hall Street which ran for over 70-years, owner Jack Coeshott has now confirmed it will open on March 15.

The new venue and expansion will allow for better equipment which will improve both the quality and quantity of Jack's menu, as well as allowing him to able to improve opening hours.

The business closed on March 2 giving all staff members a well-deserved week off before the grand reopening.

Qualified chef Jack was born and bred in Wrexham and is proud to have based his business in the heart of the Rhos community.

He said: "I'm just really happy for a bigger space to work with, employ more people expand the business.

"I want to give the shop a new lease of life and introduce some great food into the village of Rhos and surrounding areas."

After visiting America two-years ago, Jack was blown-away by their Texan-cuisine and various BBQ shacks. He took inspiration during his visit to ensure his business could be as authentic as possible.

He continues: "I would like to refurbish the inside but keep a lot of the history so it isn't forgotten and all the people coming to the village can have a read."
