A FLINTSHIRE animal rescue centre has appealed to the public to find three beautiful dogs their forever home.

Almost Home Dog Rescue, based in Mold, provides a safe haven for abandoned dogs through no fault of their own before uniting them with their new home and owner.

It also aims to support and educate the next generation of dog owners to prevent  an increase in the number of pets being carelessly neglected.

Anyone interested in the following pups should fill out the adoption form here.

Meet Molly

Molly is on a home from home system meaning she will stay with her current owners until Almost Home find her forever home.

Sadly, Molly is being re-homed due to not getting on with the cat living at her current household. She may be shy but she is very switched-on and eager to learn.

At 16 months old, Molly needs an active home with someone who is willing to exercise her mind and body. She is shy of bigger dogs but gets on well with smaller breeds as a black Labrador mix herself.

Almost Home say she will go very far in the right hands and would benefit from being the only pet in a household. She also knows a lot of commands and is good in a car.

Meet River

River is a beautiful tiny Chihuahua who is five-years-old. Sadly, she found herself in the care of Almost Home through no fault of her own, however, a complex situation is not easy for anyone.

She's not had an easy upbringing but she is full of character and would make a lovely companion for someone.

River is epileptic which is controlled with her medication given to her twice a day and she is brilliant at taking it. It works out at approximately £20 a month or less.

She is gentle and sweet and great with people. She can live with older, dog-savvy children and people who preferably have experience with her breed. She loves to play and loves a cuddle.

Due to past trauma, River isn't a huge walker but loves going out and about and is also crate trained. In time, her confidence is expected to soar but requires patience and support in the meantime.

River does make little piggy noises and some people struggle with them. She mostly does it when she’s very happy, excited or nervous. This is not medical, it’s just her.

Meet Dewi

Dewi is around four months old and came to Almost Home from the pound. Sadly, no one has claimed this beautiful boy.

Initially, Dewi was nervous and hadn't been on a lead, but has quickly overcome all this and is enjoying life like a puppy should.

This young boy is going to be a big lurcher. He has huge paws and really is a chunky monkey. Dewi will do anything for a cuddle and some food. He loves his comfy bed too.

He is good with dogs and people. Dewi is possibly cat-trainable for people who have cat-trained sight hounds before. He can live with dog-savvy children too.

Dewi is also going to be very active and loves being out in the countryside.
