A MAIN road in Flintshire has been closed by police following a crash.
North Wales Police have confirmed the A494 in Alltami, Mold has been closed due to a road traffic collision.
Emergency services are in attendance at the incident on the bypass, with motorists urged to avoid the area and to use alternative routes.
Traffic reports show there is heavy traffic in the surrounding areas.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "The A494 in Alltami, Mold is currently closed due to a Road Traffic Incident. Emergency Services are dealing.
"Please avoid the area in the meantime and consider alternative routes on your travels."
A North Wales Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed that they currently have two appliances in attendance at this incident.
They believe it was a two-vehicle collision and confirmed that crews are "working to assist with casualty and stabilise vehicles".
The Welsh Ambulance Service has been approached for a comment.
