A NEW Wrexham-based business is launching very soon in the city centre.

Opening on Friday, March 8 'Up Town Girl' will be located upstairs in the Wrexham Trainer Revival store on Lord Street, Wrexham.

Owned by Carol Hazeldene, the store will feature a range of women's clothing and trainers, catering for girls and women who appreciate sport and retro clothing.

She said: "I'm friends with Stephen Tapp (owner of Wrexham Trainer Revival) who had space upstairs in the store building, so I thought I'd give it a go.

"Where Steve caters for men in football t-shirts and sweatshirts to promote Wrexham, I'll be doing the same but a women's version.

"It's my first business so I'm both excited and nervous."

Stephen said: "I’m very excited to start stocking ladies wear with Carol, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a few years but I haven’t got the eye for it. So I’m delighted that someone is coming in with fresh ideas

"Up Town Girl will be selling some great pieces that you won't be able to get elsewhere in Wrexham."

Wrexham residents and particularly customers who support Wrexham Trainer Revival are being encouraged to show their support when the store opens on March 8.

Further details will be shared soon on the 'Up Town Girl' Facebook page.
