A MAIN road in Flintshire was shut after a car crashed into a lamppost.
The incident occurred on the A548 Chester Road between Flint and Connah's Quay on Sunday afternoon.
Police said the road was closed for a couple of hours after the incident, and photographs show a badly damaged car after it collided with a lamppost.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "We were called at 2.18pm on Sunday, February 11 following a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A548 Chester Road between Flint and Connah’s Quay.
"Officers attended the incident, involving a car and a lamppost, to close the road and divert traffic.
"The road reopened at around 4.30pm."
