THERE will be a mixture of mostly dry and bright weather this week across Wrexham and Flintshire with a few scattered showers.

The Met Office is forecasting mostly fine weather with a few showers during the upcoming days.

Today (February 12) will be bright and breezy with sunny periods and cloudier spells. The odd shower is possible, most likely in the west, but will remain mostly dry.

Temperatures will be near average with the maximum being 9 °C.

Later this evening, showers may return overnight. It will also turn increasingly cloudy from the southwest with patchy frost in some sheltered spots.

Tomorrow (February 13) will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain feeding north eastwards across Wales, turning heavy across Wrexham and Flintshire in the afternoon.  Maximum temperature 11 °C.

The outlook for Wednesday to Friday has been confirmed by a Met Office spokesperson who said: "Staying changeable with periods of rain or showers, heavy at times.

"Some drier spells can be expected too, perhaps with some brightness in places. Often breezy, and staying mild."

There will also be highs of 13°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
