ROB MCELHENNEY has said he is 'honoured' to be able to tell the people of Wrexham's stories.

It is now three years since the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia star took over at Wrexham AFC alongside friend and fellow actor Ryan Reynolds.

And it has been an incredible journey ever since for the club and the Hollywood duo.

The pair have helped the Reds return to the English Football League following a 15-year absence and even created a hugely-popular documentary (Welcome to Wrexham) all about the club and the community.

Not many could have envisaged the impact that Wrexham has had on the world over the last three years since the takeover was complete.

But, it is clear to see that Wrexham has also had an impact on Rob.

Marking the occasion on X (formerly Twitter), Rob said: "3 years! Time is flying by. Thank you to Wrexham and the people. We love this place and are so honored to be able to tell this story."

Those who are following the Wrexham (and Rob and Ryan!) journey will be pleased to hear that the third season of Welcome to Wrexham will be available to watch from mid-April.

And Wrexham AFC are currently on the hunt for promotion to League One and looking to make it back-to-back successes in that respect.
