IT IS set to be a cloudy weekend across North Wales with some showery outbreaks.
North Wales was hit with an amber alert for snow and ice this week but the weekend is looking slightly brighter.
The Met Office has said the rest of Friday afternoon (February 9) will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain, turning heavy at times across Wrexham and Flintshire.

There will be a fair amount of cloud into the evening and overnight, with risk of showers continuing overnight too.
Saturday (February 10) will see some brighter spells on offer starting the weekend, though showers at times too.

Light winds and average temperatures with the highest being 9 °C.
A Met Office report said: "Sunday will see a mixture of some brighter and drier intervals, though still a risk of showers or longer spells of rain at times.
"There will be generally lighter winds with temperatures close to average."
