A NEW delicious bakery is set to open in Wrexham offering customers freshly homemade treats.

'Moonbakes' is a speciality bakers coming to Crane Street in Cefn Mawr with a menu full of 'out of this world cakes, pastries, breads and coffee.'

Owner Jason Rodgers from Rossett is thrilled with his new venture and can't wait to welcome customers this weekend when it opens on Saturday, February 3.

After leaving his full-time career as a chef for over 25-years and venturing into the wedding photography industry, Jason soon realised his true passion will always be food and baking.

Now, he is is glad to have finally taken a risk by starting his own business, sharing his talent and treats with Wrexham's residents.

He said: "Cefn Mawr is in desperate need of new shops opening and ways to bring tourism into the village, bringing this historic area back onto the map.

"I have to say from day one everyone in Cefn Mawr has been so friendly and very welcoming."

Customers have expressed their enthusiasm on Facebook for the new bakery. One individual said: "Exactly what the village needs, now let's support them" while another said "I'll defo be visiting regularly on my lunch breaks."

Everything on the menu will be completely handmade and freshly baked for customers to enjoy.

Supporting another local business, Jason opted to use Creative Occasion's Wrexham to design the exterior of the venue.

With all finishing touches now completed, there is nothing left but to eagerly await the bakery's grand opening.
