A JOBS and Apprenticeship Fair is set to be held in Flintshire next month.

The event is being held by Flint Town Council and Flint High School on Thursday, February 8 at the school.

This collaborative initiative aims to connect the local community with various employment and apprenticeship opportunities provided by 27 esteemed employers.

The event will feature a diverse array of organisations, spanning industries such as defence, finance, aerospace, local government, education, engineering, automotive, beauty and manufacturing.

Among the prominent participants are Royal Navy Careers, HSBC, Betsi Cadwaladr, Airbus, Flintshire County Council, the UK Army, Wrexham University, Jones Bros Civil Engineering, Toyota Manufacturing, and Nice-Pak.

Pupils in Years 10-13 from the Flintshire area and their parents, along with residents from the local community are encouraged to attend and explore the vast array of employment prospects and apprenticeship programs available.

The doors will open at 3.30pm until 6pm, allowing attendees to interact with representatives from the participating organisations, learn about career paths, and gain insights into the current job market.

Mayor of Flint, Councillor Ben Goldsborough, expressed his enthusiasm for the event and said: "The Joint Jobs and Apprenticeship Fair is a fantastic opportunity for our community to engage directly with leading employers and educational institutions.

"By fostering these connections, we are investing in the future of our residents and ensuring the prosperity of Flint."
