A FUNDRAISER has been launched for a former Wrexham AFC player who has suffered injuries following a road traffic collision in Thailand.
Wrexham Legends chairman Jon Morris has set up the GoFundMe page to support friend and club legend Martyn Chalk.
Martyn was on holiday when he sustained severe trauma to his legs, including fractures and a broken femur.
Being a flight risk, Martyn has got to remain in hospital abroad for at least two-months while undergoing emergency treatment.
The accident occurred two-weeks ago and he is just about to endure his sixth medical operation since it happened.
In an act of true team spirit, the Wrexham Legends have organised a fundraiser to help Martyn and his family fund his much-needed care.

In the first hour and a half, over £1,700 has been raised surpassing Jon's initial target of £1,000 - including a generous donation from none other than Wrexham AFC co-owner Ryan Reynolds.
Jon said: "I just want to thank everyone who has donated and shared the page so far. We're blown away by the support and I know Martyn will be too.
"Please keep sharing. We're sending Martyn all our love and support during this difficult time."
