A COMMUNITY council has thanked all those who came out to support its Christmas tree lights switch on event.
Towns and villages across both Flintshire and Wrexham have been busy switching their Christmas lights on over the last week or so.
And the big day over in Queensferry took place for only the second time annually this afternoon (Saturday, December 2).

After the success of last year's 'Tree Lighting' event, this year's unfolded at the war memorial institute and was well-attended by residents.
Residents were also invited to see Santa and his elves, as well as enjoy plenty of refreshments and a raffle.
