WITH just 10 homes remaining for sale, homebuilder Anwyl is nearing completion of a Wrexham development.
Maes y Rhedyn, on Straight Mile Road in Llay, includes a wide mix of three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes.
With just six homes left to build, Anwyl Homes is looking back on a successful four years of development.
Graeme Gibb, sales director for Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, said: “We’ve been building at Maes y Rhedyn in Llay since early 2019 and almost completed all 181 homes. It’s been a pleasure creating such a vibrant new neighbourhood, and also playing our part to support the wider Llay community."

He added: “We’ve sponsored local football team Castell Alun Colts YFC for the past four years and also partnered with Park Community Primary to help fund improvements to their forest school provision.
“Continuing our focus on sustainability, we’ve linked up with Castell Alun High School to provide funds to support the school’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) club, firstly to purchase solar panel technology kits, and more recently to provide kits that teach pupils how smart technology may be used in homes of the future. We also provided bird boxes for the school grounds as part of our 90th anniversary celebrations.
“We’ve really enjoyed being part of the Llay community, while delivering so many high-quality, and much-needed new homes. We look forward to completing the development and welcoming more homeowners over the coming weeks and months. We anticipate the final homes will be complete by spring 2024.”
As part of the planning consent for Maes y Rhedyn, Anwyl and Bellway, who are building on a neighbouring parcel of land, have made a number of further financial contributions that have directly benefitted the local community.
Around £1.4 million has been contributed by the two developers towards primary and secondary education nearby, and £10,000 towards transport.
All 10 remaining homes at Maes y Rhedyn are four-bedroom detached styles, priced from £332,995. Several styles are ready to move into.
