A PAIR of authors will be partners in crime for an event at a Flintshire book shop.

The Berwyn Bookshop, based at Caffi Isa CIC, in Mynydd Isa, is hosting an event with two popular crime authors on Sunday, November 26.

Cara Hunter's 2023 title Murder in the Family was a Sunday Times bestseller and New York Times bestseller upon its release in the United States.

The book is written in the form of a telescript, and is based on a Netflix-style true crime documentary, investigating a historic murder case. Murder in the Family was quickly caught up in the BookTok trend on social media platform TikTok, and success ensued.

Cara has sold more than one-million copies of her books to date, being published in 29 territories and multiple languages. She is best-known for her series featuring DI Adam Fawley and his Oxford-based police team.

Joining Cara at Caffi Isa is popular crime writer Simon McCleave, who has seen plenty of success in his own right, with his North Wales-set work also becoming bestsellers, including The Wrexham Killings, released earlier this year.

Emma Littler, of The Berwyn Bookshop, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome Cara to North Wales. It is a hugely exciting event and one which we have been trying to arrange for some time, so we are so thankful to both Cara and HarperCollins for making it possible.

"Of course, it's always brilliant to see Simon and we love catching up with him, so bringing the two together 'in conversation' is definitely going to be an entertaining afternoon."

Tickets for the In Conversation With... event are £5 and can be purchased from The Berwyn Bookshop or online via TicketSource: ticketsource.co.uk/theberwynbookshop/t-qjyyezj
