Of the deal with Pets At Home, she said: "I'm over the moon, it's been a whirlwind. It was a lot of hard work but we've proven even a little family business can do it."

Started in September 2020, Gillian, who had previously worked in the pet trade, was aware of the scale and varied quality of the products available. The 39-year-old set her sights on creating a premium pet range.

Gillian added: "A pet is like a baby, they don't have a choice what is put on their skin or through their mouth, that's our choice.

"So for me, that should be the best, just like a baby should have.

"I started to look at lots of things, lots of research. Through my collection of pet and human skin care and home products, my ethos was to be as ethical as possible.

"All my ingredients are cruelty-free, I don't test on animals, all my products are palm oil-free and 100 per cent made in Wales.

"Even my packaging is as eco as possible, even the labels use vegetable ink. Everything can either be recycled at the kerb or upcycled at the home if you're a bit crafty."
