THE CITY of Wrexham gathered to remember past and present soldiers and servicemen with a Remembrance Sunday service.

The Annual Service of Remembrance took place at Bodhyfryd outside on Sunday, November 12 at 10.55am.

The touching ceremony included speeches from officiants and the mayoral party as well sombre performances by the band.

There was an excellent turnout for the event despite the pouring rain.

At 10.59, a bugler sounded as the 'Last Post' before the two minute silence commenced.

The parade started outside Wrexham Barracks where the wreath laying took place at approximately 10.30am before leading up to the Cenotaph.

Wrexham residents also gathered in respect for a beautiful service at Betsi Cadwaladr's East Acute Site Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Queens Square.
