WREXHAM AFC's co-owners have generously donated to a local business following a devastating burglary.

On October 28, Wrexham Trainer Revival and Casual Kids Club on Lord St Wrexham suffered a terrible burglary, resulting in over £7,000 worth of stock being taken.

The Leader:

Owners Stephen Tapp and brothers Shaun Carr and Phil Carr were crushed by the ordeal but have been completely blown away by Wrexham's support.

A GoFundMe page was created soon after the incident by an American couple who had previously met Stephen on one occasion. Wrexham residents have already raised an incredible total of £4,500 in just two weeks.

This morning (November 11), the owners were amazed to find the wonderful Hollywood duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney had made an outstanding donation of £3,500.

Their kindness has now increased the total to over £7,900 meaning the small business has raised more than the total taken from them during the horrific break-in.

Owner Shaun Carr said: "We've received outstanding and overwhelming support over the last few weeks from everyone.

"To wake up to this has made myself and Tappy speechless again. An incredible community, incredible club and incredible boss's."

The store reopened again on Monday (November 6) just a week after the burglary.

AFC stars Jacob Mendy and Elliot Lee attended the grand opening where Elliot was greeted with an incredible mural designed by Liam Stokes-Massey.

The speedy reopening and build up of stock would not have been possible without the support of the Wrexham community.
