A BORN-and-bred Wrexham lad has recently become a national drifting champion.
Lwi Edwards won the 2023 UK premier MSUK Drift Pro Championship last month.
The 21-year-old started his driving career at the young age of 14 in Junior Rally Championship before moving into drifting at 16 years old.
After winning the British Drift Championship Pro2 at 17, Lwi moved up a notch to the top Pro Class level.
The MSUK Drift Pro Championship is the new Motorsport UK sanctioned championship with a selected line-up of the top drivers from around the country.
Lwi drives a highly modified 800hp BMW E36 built and maintained by small family Wrexham company Allitalia Ltd.

Lwi's natural talents have attracted sponsorship from globally recognised companies Bilstein Suspension, Haltech ECU and L2D along the way.
He dominated the 2023 field after eight rounds against some talented and experienced drivers, winning four rounds and finishing on the podium in all but one of them.
He said: "The goal was to win the MSUK Drift Pro Championship this year, I am over the moon to have achieved it and proud to bring the trophy back to Wrexham.
"For a small team to be able to compete at this level is amazing and I would like to thank all our sponsors for helping make this happen as well as family and friends who are a large part of the journey."
For 2024 Lwi will be looking into opportunities to compete in European Drift Championships as well as defending his crown in the 2024 MSUK Drift Pro Championship.
