A FLINTSHIRE author is to share tips for aspiring writers at the launch of her latest book.

Cheryl Hart started her creative path at the Alun School in Mold, going on to study English Literature and Creative Writing at Glyndwr University.

Later this month, she is launching her new book, Butterfly Writer, which offers encouragement, inspiration as well as tips and techniques for aspiring authors.

Cheryl, from Northop Hall, said: "I've been on a creative journey looking for ways to empower people to be brilliant, and to write and share their stories, fiction or non fiction. This lends itself to empowering healthy minds and actions.

"We're built on stories. We're shaped by stories. And we need more people, new writers and practiced ones, to be brave enough to share them."

The free-to-attend launch, on Thursday, November 9 at 7pm in the Waffle Box on Earl Road in Mold, is also a window into community-based immersive creative writing workshops, which are planned for early next year.

The 45-year-old is also looking to work on projects with schools, as well as immersive creative writing workshops that help children engage with English in a creative way, including with home schooled youngsters.
